Kathy was a Mother of five including our trip founder Tom Lopez. In 2017 she passed away suddenly. She was a supporter of Nashua HOT since the very beginning, she had always wanted to sponsor a child’s education. She understood how difficult it was to find opportunities in Honduras and she was a huge supporter of programs like Adelante that supported education, but as a mother herself, she didn’t always have the ability to donate to causes she believed in. One of her final projects was to create a collaborative effort to sponsor children in need. A gift in her memory will be used to collectively sponsor two children each year on behalf of our team, and our supporters. We will post updates throughout our trip, and the year, as we receive them, from the children we sponsor.
